I am a man who appreciates a good joke.
It has to be clean … well, sometimes, as long as it’s not crude or vulgar. I have a rule that it can’t make fun of someone who can’t help it. It must meet my standards of being clever, with a punch line that can make me chuckle every time I hear it. And I have to be able to remember it, which can be a challenge.
I am a fan of knock-knock jokes and corny dad jokes. I can handle a good Baptist-Methodist wisecrack, and an occasional “Yo Mama” or office joke. Those once-popular Polack jokes and dumb blonde jokes might be deemed insensitive in our current environment of political correctness. I also have to be careful about “short people” jokes, since I live under the same roof as one.
