Bargain hunters turned out at a park pavilion in Fort Valley to hunt for some deals at the “Peaches to Beaches’’ yard sale last weekend. (Photo by Ed Grisamore)

We pulled off the highway south of Roberta. The sign by the road said “Yard Sale,’’ but this was no ordinary yard sale.

It was part of the 17th annual “Peaches to Beaches” – more than 226 miles of Barbie dolls and socket wrenches, Norman Rockwell plates, ash trays, pocket knives and toasters.
